Summer Camp Staff

 

Marie Sproul ( Camp Director ) is the Artistic Director and co-founder of OnStage.  She spent six years working as a Resident Director and Production Stage Manager at ShenanArts in Staunton , VA and studied theatre at James Madison University .  Some of her directing credits include, The Why, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) The Wrestling Season, Uh-Oh, Here Comes Christmas and The Ash Girl.  Since her re-location to Baltimore in September of 2005, she has directed three shows for Laurel Mill Playhouse, Anne of Green Gables, Arsenic and Old Lace and The Philadelphia Story.

 

 

 

Lauren Tobiason (Music Director) is the Theatre Arts teacher at Hammond High School in Howard County .  Some of her favorite directing experiences were "Arsenic and Old Lace," "Once Upon a Mattress," and "The Diary of Anne Frank."  Lauren also enjoys performing in local community theatre productions and was most recently seen in "Beauty and the Beast" last summer.  She holds a B.A. in Theatre Arts from Western Washington University (this is a school in Washington state as she originally hails from Seattle ) and a Master's in Teaching.  On the weekend, Lauren enjoys reading, walking, and hanging out with her husband and guinea pig.

 

 

 

Alex Krebs (Choreographer) has recently graduated from Hammond High School . She has been dancing for 11 years and has been trained in ballet, jazz, tap, modern, lyrical, hip-hop and musical theatre. In her freshman year of high school she choreographed a lyrical solo and won multiple awards including a  choreography award and the title Miss Teen Broadway at a local dance competition. She has choreographed for the Intermediate dance class and Dance Company in high school. She was also a co-choreographer for Hammond 's musical for the year 2008.  She plans to major in Dance Education in college.

 

 

Jeff Mocho (Acting Coach) recently moved to the DC / Baltimore area with his wife Katherine.  Since that time he has become quite active in the theatre community here, and has been in two shows directed by Marie Sproul.  His experience includes many plays, as well as TV shows & commercials, videos and movies.  He was trained in theatre at the University of New Mexico , where in addition to acting for adult audiences, he performed for schoolchildren.  In addition to performance he also has experience teaching middle-school children theatre as part of a college class, and has been a swimming instructor.
