The Staff
Marie Sproul - Artistic Director
Marie spent six years in
Staunton, Virginia working with ShenanArts, a professional theatre company,
before moving to Maryland in 2005. At ShananArts, she started out as the Office
Manager and became the Production Stage Manager and Resident Director. During
her time there, she directed, assistant directed, production stage managed, and
produced thirty-five productions. In October of 2005, she directed Anne of
Green Gables for Laurel Mill Playhouse where she met Sarah Kendrick. The
two formed a bond and a great working relationship and decided to start their
own theatre here in Catonsville.
Sarah Kendrick - Production Manager
Sarah began acting at the
age of 13 and continued performing throughout High School. In college she
explored the back-stage areas of theatrical productions and briefly minored in
Costuming before switching to an Art History Minor to complement her Visual Arts
Major. Since graduating from UMBC, Sarah has become involved with Laurel Mill
Playhouse where she met Marie when she worked as her Assistant Director for
Anne of Green Gables.
Sarah has produced, directed,
costumed and tech directed plays at Laurel Mill Playhouse. She also designs
costumes for several other community theatres in the area.
